Dec 05, 2019 Using the search function, I couldn't see a thread that was dedicated to the discussion of gaming on PPC Macs: running OS X and OS 9 - or even older, so I've decided to create one.:) It would nice to see what everyone is playing and to share recommendations on titles (and emulators) to check. If you're planning on running the treasures of the past you'll find here on real old Macintosh hardware from the 90's, you sir/madame, deserve to win an Internet! For others, there's SheepShaver, a PowerPC emulator capable of running Mac OS 9.0.4 down to Mac OS 7.5.2 and there's Basilisk II, a 68k emulator, capable of running Mac OS (8.1 to 7.0). OS X Version: 10.4.8 Game Version: 1.3 Notes: Appears to play fine (only tested single-player first level and menus, though). Note that you need to download the latest 1.3 patch which provides a Mac OS X binary (the original version is for Mac OS 9).
